The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is speeding up the launch of its new IT platform, EPFO 3.0. Three major Indian IT companies — TCS, Infosys, and Wipro — have been shortlisted to handle its implementation, operation, and maintenance. This move follows an Expression of Interest issued on June 16, 2025.
EPFO 3.0 will bring faster, more user-friendly services for members. Key features include:
- Auto-claim settlement for quicker payouts without manual checks
- ATM withdrawals after claim approval
- Online account corrections with full digital processing
- OTP-based authentication to replace lengthy paper forms
It will also introduce a Centralised Pension Payment System so EPS 1995 pensioners can get payments from any bank, and a stronger grievance redressal system for faster issue resolution.
